Miracle Mountain Drive Rezoning Approved with STFNA Support

17 Oct 2008 1:02 AM | STFNA Admin (Administrator)
In March 2007, the City Council unanimously approved the rezoning of an 8-acre site at the end of Miracle Mountain Drive to allow the construction of one large single-family home.

While ideally it would have been great if the site could have remained undeveloped, the SFTNA Board of Directors voted to support the project because, at our request, the property...

  1. Moved the house site to the bottom of the hillside
  2. Granted a conservation easement over most of the site
  3. Granted a public trail easement at the top of the site
  4. Agreed to work with us to try to facilitate the sale of an adjacent 27-acre site to the Open Space Authority.
We appreciate the willingness of the applicant, the SanFilippo Estate, and the applicant’s representative, Jerry Strangis, to work with us to modify the project in response to our concerns. Thanks also to STFNA Boardmembers/City Council members Nancy Pyle and Forrest Williams for their support.
